To my friends, THANK YOU!
I started birdwatching (mainly raptors and kingfishers) at a very young age and picked up bird photography last year to capture those cherished moments.
Growing up and living in Singapore offers lot of birdwatching opportunities due to the all year summer. Like me, there are plenty of bird lovers who venture into parks and nature reserves for relaxing bird spotting and photography.
Birding is a very peaceful time away from CBD and crowds, I also enjoyed the solitude of exploring local parks armed with a basic camera. After I started on more serious photography, I made a few friends who supplied me with lot of jokes, tips and help. I am very thankful to all these friends for their advice and sharing.
There are the technical experts, the artistic experts, and the spotting experts. My friends encompass all these qualities at same time. Also, there are my loved ones, friends and social media followers who supported my works all this time… some of us may never have met before but it meant a lot to me when my shots are well received. Your encouragements gave me the purpose to continue learning new techniques and exploring more wildlife photography.
Lastly, a big thank you to my friends for all the lens and cameras loans. The exposure to different lens and cameras helped me to identify the type of photography I want to do, gives me a purpose to plan and save for the equipment that I truly wanted.
I am truly blessed.
